17-7PH Buck Knife blade steel is highly resistant to salt water corrosion and holds an edge well, so it's great for water sports.

S30V Buck Knife blade steel offers excellent edge holding and blade toughness, but it can be more difficult to re-sharpen than other steels.

It is one of the finest knife blade steels available, it's made in America, and is double heat treated to RC 59.5-61.

BG-42 Buck Knife blade steel was originally smelted for use in bearings.

It is a premium grade, high performace steel that provides excellent edge retention and blade toughness.

It can be heat treated to Rc 61-62.

ATS-34 Buck Knife blade steel is another premium grade stainless steel that provides excellent edge holding, corrosion resistance, and blade toughness.

It's usually heat treated to Rc 60-61.

It provides excellent toughness, superior corrosion resistance, good edge retention, and it's easy to re-sharpen.

It's usually heat treated to Rc 58.
