Buck knife sharpening is as easy as pie, if you use a V type sharpener.

The Buck knife sharpening in the video was done with a Spyderco Sharpmaker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Buck knife sharpener would work fine; but in my opinion the the Sharpmaker is easier to use.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It comes with fine and medium grit ceramic sticks, and you can also get diamond grit sticks that really work fast for touching up a really beat up and dull blade.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you use the Spyderco for Buck knife sharpening, hold the knife straight up and down, then just slide the blade down the ceramic stick like you were trying to slice a piece of the stick off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sticks are three sided, and you can set the sticks in the base at an angle that allow you to use the corners to sharpen serrated blades.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you've never tried the Sharpmaker, I think you'll really be in for a big surprise at how easy they are to use for Buck knife sharpening.
